法国尼斯最早出名是因为19世纪时英国维多利亚女王经常来这里度假, 从开始的小镇, 慢慢形成今天的规模. 所以尼斯的滨海大道也叫 Promenade des Anglais, 直接翻译就是英国路. 从尼斯的船坞一直延伸几乎到戛纳东界, 有几公里长.

这里就是2016 尼斯恐袭的地方, 当时是7月14号, 法国国庆, 当晚会在海上放烟花, 大批人都在英国大道等着看. 恐怖分子就利用这个时间开着重型卡车冲进人群.
